A Word of Reflexion
Most of the texts you’ll find here were written in the 2000s – snapshots of a time that, like myself, has changed since then. And that’s a good thing.
I’m fully aware that not everyone will like what I write and that some may take issue with my perspective or choice of words. That’s okay. Writing has always been subjective, filtered through my personal lens, and I’ve always used a clear, often provocative language. This might not sit well with everyone, and that’s something I accept.
Unlike a film, where you’re shown everything, reading involves filling in the blanks. You read between the lines, interpret the words, and evaluate things through your own set of values. The unsaid, the things that remain between the lines, are seen through your eyes. That’s part of what makes reading so fascinating.
I don’t want to distance myself from my earlier texts simply because they were written 20 or even 30 years ago, during a time with different values and perspectives. They reflect who I was back then, not who I am now. And yet, they are a part of my journey.
At the same time, I want you to know that I am and always have been a liberal and open-minded person. I often don’t conform to mainstream rules or clichés, and that’s still the case today. However, I value respect for my fellow humans deeply. That respect remains intact – at least until someone crosses the line and violates my personal boundaries.
If you read something that bothers you or doesn’t sit well, it’s worth noting that these are personal, subjective views from a different time. I write what I see, feel, and think – unapologetically. And I believe that’s what makes these texts authentic.
So, yes, I’ve grown. I’ve become a father, gained life experience, and reevaluated my values. Equality, emancipation, and respect for all people have always been central to me, and they remain so today – perhaps even more than ever. This applies to both personal and societal issues, as well as political topics.
Finally, I want to make it clear that I firmly reject Vladimir Putin and his politics – especially his illegal war of aggression. I have always been critical of authoritarian regimes, and that hasn’t changed. His actions stand in stark contrast to the values I hold dear: peace, freedom, and respect.
If something in my texts strikes a nerve, know that I see it, hear it, and take criticism seriously. Because nothing is more valuable than learning from the past to make the present better.
